The Department of Industrial Design Engineering held an orientation meeting for first-year students who joined the department in the 2026–2027 academic year. The meeting was attended by first-year students and faculty members and aimed to provide students with information to help them adapt to university and departmental life.

During the meeting, the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. İsmail Şahin, delivered a presentation covering the history and development of the Department of Industrial Design Engineering, as well as the position and significance of the discipline in the world.

The presentation also provided information about the department’s educational infrastructure, laboratory and practical facilities, and the academic and technical opportunities available to students throughout their education. In addition, international education, exchange, and study opportunities were introduced, highlighting the opportunities available for students to gain international academic and professional experience.

The meeting concluded with a question-and-answer session, during which students had the opportunity to learn more about the department’s educational structure, facilities, and the academic and career opportunities offered by the field of Industrial Design Engineering.
